Made in the late sixties, the works, collectively titled Spherical Systems, could be said to depict the invisible structures of the air; oxygen, nitrogen, argon, methane and carbon dioxide. The works were saved from a fire in the studio of Susanne Ussing.

Susanne Ussing (29 November 1940 – 8 March 1998), was a Danish artist, architect and ceramicist.
